Join researchers from PNNL for a webinar on emerging approaches to proactive planning and investment being adopted by utilities and states across the country. Hosted in coordination with NARUC and NASEO, this session is designed for public utility commission and state energy office staff and will highlight insights from PNNL’s new report, Examples of State and Utility Actions on Proactive Planning and Investments found here: https://www.osti.gov/servlets/purl/3428335 Proactive planning shifts utilities from reacting to grid needs to anticipating them. These approaches are reshaping utility planning processes, cost recovery mechanisms, and performance oversight. They are also becoming an essential tool for managing rising electricity demand, large loads, grid modernization initiatives, and evolving policy imperatives. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of emerging trends, state and utility actions, and practical ideas for incorporating proactive planning and investment strategies.
