Is industrial customer load a concern for your commission?
NARUC is conducting Member Needs Assessment on Industrial Loads to better understand how state utility commissions are managing increasing electricity demand from manufacturing facilities and other large energy users (excluding data centers).
The assessment will identify common challenges, emerging trends, and opportunities for support. Insights gathered will help inform decision-making related to grid reliability, affordability, economic development, and rate design.
To support this effort, NARUC will host two focus group sessions in late August and early September. NARUC members are asked to attend one of the two sessions and share their experiences and challenges.
