NARUC-NASEO Wildfire Resilience Cohort Session Two: Know Your Partners: Mapping State Agencies and the Resources They Offer for Wildfire Energy Planning

Wednesday, June 3, 2026 | 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. ET | Open to public utility commissions, state energy offices, and relevant state agencies | Register now

The risk of wildfires, once largely a concern primarily for the Western U.S., is an emerging national issue. The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) and the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), with support from the U.S. Department of Energy, are organizing a cohort to help states address emerging wildfire threats to critical energy infrastructure and navigate the evolving challenges this creates for State Energy Offices and Public Utility Commissions.

Building on NARUC's Wildfire Workbook and NASEO's Wildfire Forum Webinar Series, the cohort will feature expert presentations and action-oriented discussions among states to put the lessons learned into practice. The cohort includes four 90-minute topic-driven virtual sessions.

The second Wildfire Resilience Cohort session will be held on June 3, 2026, from 12:30–2:00 p.m. ET. This session will help states map the landscape of agencies engaged in wildfire preparedness and response, including the data and resources they collect that State Energy Offices and PUCs could leverage for energy security planning and mitigation investments.
