This session will focus on resilience metrics for utility planning, drawing on emerging frameworks for integrating resilience into distribution system planning. The discussion will cover existing metrics utilities use, common challenges in developing and applying resilience metrics, and emerging approaches for measuring and valuing resilience in ways that support investment decisions, regulatory review, and long-term planning. The session will also explore how metrics fit within a broader resilience planning framework, including strategy, data, threat assessments, solution prioritization, consideration of other grid needs, and evaluation of investment performance.
