As transmission needs expand nationwide and pressure grows to meet load growth without relying solely on costly new builds, regulators are seeking a stronger knowledge of advanced transmission technologies to make discerning decisions about viable alternatives. Building on our previous GETs webinar, this session will bring together technology developers and additional expert voices to explore two such technologies: AssetCool's conductor coating, which can significantly boost power line capacity or cut energy losses while helping utilities assess asset condition along the way, and Heimdall Power's Neuron sensor, which enables dynamic line rating and gives utilities real-time visibility into how much capacity their lines can actually handle. Attendees will come away with a clearer sense of how these technologies compare to traditional infrastructure investment and what questions to ask when evaluating them as substitutes for new transmission builds.
