Search EV Case Study Catalog

The NARUC Center for Partnerships & Innovation hosts an Electric Vehicles Case Study Catalog to connect Commissioners and staff to existing reports on emerging utility regulatory approaches to transportation electrification. This catalog offers a starting point for understanding how various EV issues have been decided around the country by highlighting approved utility programs, pilot initiatives, and other Commission decisions that support transportation electrification. NARUC CPI also hosts an Electric Vehicles State Working Group, which is open to all NARUC members and holds monthly meetings on EV regulatory topics. For more information, or to join the working group, please contact Margerie Snider.

This Catalog features nearly 80 resources, including references to commission decisions, utility programs, pilots, and more from over 30 states. The catalog can be filtered by topic and state.

This is not a comprehensive list of all case studies or resources on commission and utility decisions on EVs. Please contact the authoring organization directly for more information on these resources.

The Electric Vehicle Case Study Catalog was last updated on 09/03/2026 based on information provided by the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center under contract to NARUC.
