Report of the NARUC Task Force on Transportation addresses the growth of Transportation Network Companies, such as Uber and Lyft, and questions over the nature and level of state regulation of TNC services; and the increase in crude oil shipments by rail and related derailments, resulting in a heightened interest in the role of states in regulating railroad safety.
NARUC Applauds Introduction of the Preserving State Commission Oversight Act
The bill would restore the congressionally mandated state role in designating all providers as eligible telecommunications carriers, allowing them to participate in the low-income Lifeline Universal Service program.
