Cancellation and Other Policies

Cancellations

A refund less a 20% processing fee will apply to all cancellations.
If you are unable to attend or secure a substitute from the same organization, cancellation must be submitted by October 27, via email to btan@naruc.org.  After October 27, no refund will be issued unless documentation of an emergency is submitted. Individuals who fail to attend the meeting (no-shows) will not be entitled to any refund.

  • Fees are non-transferable to future NARUC meetings.

Substitutions

A $100 processing fee applies to all substitutions.
Substitutions are allowed by individuals within the same institution/company in advance by October 27. A ‘NEW’ person must have a profile in the system; click this link to create a profile https://www.naruc.org/mynaruc/.

  • Substitutions may be made in advance by October 27 or afterwards onsite.

NARUC reserves the right to cancel courses due to the unlikely event of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a meeting is at capacity, canceled, or postponed, the Association will refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for other costs or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines, travel agencies, or hotels.

Please be aware that by registering for this event, you consent to your voice, name, and/or photo likeness being used, without compensation, on NARUC’s website/social media or the websites/social media of others in attendance, whether now known or hereafter devised, for eternity, and you release NARUC, its successors, assigns, and licensees from any liability whatsoever of any nature.

Press Policy

Cost: For NARUC meetings, press have free registration.

Badges: Press are assigned purple badges.

Credentials: We only permit credentialed media to register as press, meaning a bylined reporter or editor or photographer. We reserve the right to check credentials online or otherwise verify legitimacy of claimed credentials.

Session Access: Press may not access closed sessions or those marked or designated for Commissioners or Commission Staff Only.

Member Access: Requests for interviews should be vetted with the Communications Department. Attendees may refer press to the event host or the PIO managing the event.

Recording: Public, open panels may be recorded. No video or photographs or audio recording is allowed during receptions or networking breaks. We find that these photos are often taken out of context and inhibits natural, spontaneous conversations that ensue during our meetings.

NARUC Photos: Press are allowed to use photos posted on social media with the appropriate credit line.

Press Photos: Members of the press or their representatives taking photos during a panel or general session must do so unobtrusively and only photograph those persons who are presenting. (NARUC staff or our assigned photographer may photograph participants, as well as audience members, during sessions.)
