Know Before You Go

CHECK-IN PROCESS

Checking in is quick and easy!

  • Bring your confirmation email with the QR code (printed or displayed on your mobile device).
  • Upon arrival, scan the QR code at one of the self-service registration kiosks to print your badge.
  • Forgot your confirmation email? No problem! Simply enter your first and last name at the kiosk to locate your registration and print your badge.

REMINDER: If you plan to print your confirmation email, please download the images first so they display correctly.

The Sheraton is the headquarters hotel. All NARUC meetings will take place here, including General Sessions.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Time Zone: Puerto Rico observes Atlantic Standard Time (AST) year-round and does not observe daylight saving time. In November, Puerto Rico is one hour ahead of New York and Washington, DC. Please keep this time difference in mind when planning your travel and scheduling meetings.

Travel Documents: U.S. citizens do not need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico from the mainland. A valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or other acceptable TSA identification is sufficient for domestic air travel.

Attire: Business Comfortable.

  • Think slacks, skirts, or dresses, paired with collared shirts, ties optional.
  • Comfortable shoes are essential.
  • Hotel meeting rooms can be pretty cool, so pack a sweater, jacket, or shawl to stay comfortable indoors.

WHAT TO PACK

Lightweight breathable clothing is recommended, along with a light rain jacket or umbrella for changing weather conditions.

WEATHER

Early November is generally a warm, humid, tropical time of year in Puerto Rico, with strong sunshine weather but also a good chance of passing rain showers. For the NARUC Annual Meeting, you should plan for summer-like temperatures, occasional heavy showers, and warm evenings.

Typical Temperatures:

  • Daytime Highs: around 85–88°F (29–31°C)
  • Nighttime Lows: around 74–78°F (23-26°C)
