Partnership Launch

Date: May 2010
Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Through support from the United States Environmental Protection Agency, senior officials from the Ohio Public Utilities Commission, the Kentucky Public Service Commission, and the Missouri Public Service Commission met with officials from the Brazilian Association of Regulatory Agencies (ABAR) to launch the Brazil Energy Regulatory Partnership.

This partnership created a platform for the development of ABAR’s institutional capacity in methane to market regulation, and the participants were able to create topics of interest for an exchange in November 2010 and future activities.
