The Americas: ACERCA

Partnership Launch

Date: June 2009
Location: Managua, Nicaragua

Through support from the United States Agency for International Development, officials from the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the Public Service Commission of Utah along with the Association of Central American Energy Regulators (ACERCA) met to launch the ACERCA Partnership.

This partnership created a platform for the development of ACERCA’s institutional capacity in tariff methodologies, and the participants were able to lay the groundwork for future exchanges on energy efficiency and service quality.
