Joint Meeting on Ethics, Investment, and Promoting Retail Markets

Date: February 2010
Location: Antigua, Guatemala

Through support from the United States Agency for International Development, officials from the Missouri Public Service Commission and the Public Utility Commission of Texas exchanged valuable expertise with members of the Association of Central American Energy Regulators on ethics, developing a positive relationship with the press, promoting investment in transmission and renewable energy, and promoting a retail market.

In addition to the lessons learned from the meetings, the representatives were able to lay the foundation for future exchanges on quality of service, building electricity markets, tariffs, and energy efficiency.
