Europe and Eurasia: Moldova

Internship on Customer Protection and Information Systems

Date: September 2011
Location: Jefferson City, Missouri

With the support of the US Agency for International Development, two staff members from the National Energy Regulatory Agency of Moldova (ANRE) travelled to the Missouri Public Service Commission for a three-week internship on consumer protection and implementation of the Electronic Filing and Information System. Obtained via an in-kind donation from their Missouri colleagues, the EFIS will allow ANRE to improve work flows and processes, increase ANRE’s ability to provide timely responses and resolutions to petitions and telephone inquiries and better track documents and petitions.

Following the internship, ANRE staff participated in a two-day program in Washington, DC, which included meetings with DC regulators and USAID representatives.
