Date: May 2005
Location: Montpelier, Vermont
With the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), a delegation from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) of the Republic of Macedonia met representatives from the Vermont Public Service Board and discussed energy efficiency, including various incentive-based programs, and compliance monitoring in regional markets. Delegates also briefly discussed regional energy trading and dispute settlements.
This activity was very successful and most advanced substantively. The ERC received ample reference material on energy efficiency and regional market operations. Both commissions continue to be highly motivated by their work with each other and are looking forward to exchanging more information and experience at their future meetings.
