With the support of the United States Agency for International Development, NARUC facilitated a vibrant partnership between the Energy Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Macedonia (ERC) and the Vermont Public Service Board. During a series of exchanges, officials explore a wide array of regulatory issues, including regional markets, energy efficiency, cross-border trade, tariff design, and service quality.
While the bilateral partnership is no longer active, Macedonia currently participates in NARUC’s Southeast Europe Regulatory Bridge (link to SEE Bridge page), a regional program that provides assistance and support to the ERC and other national energy regulators in the region. The bridge program aims to strengthen regulators’ capability to supervise electricity network unbundling and to establish stable and transparent regimes for the regulation of the distribution/supply services.
