Partnership Exchange on Natural Gas and Regulatory Reform

With the support of the US Agency for International Development, representatives from the Georgia National Energy and Water Regulatory Commission engaged with utilities, state and federal regulators and others on natural gas regulation, consumer rights and tariffs during the exchange.

In Washington, DC, participants met with representatives from Washington Gas to discuss monitoring the physical operations of distribution system, dispatch operations, and call center operations, and with representatives from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to discuss the interaction between federal and state regulatory commissions, natural gas storage and small hydropower development. In Frankfort, Georgian and Kentucky regulators engaged on natural gas issues and toured the DeltaGas gas storage facility.
