Dates: June 2005
Location: Indianapolis, USA
During this activity supported by the United States Agency for International Development, officials from the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission exchanged relevant experiences with officials at the Albanian Electricity Regulator Authority (ERE) on licensing and compliance monitoring methodologies, energy account unbundling, legal considerations in the property rights and utility asset transfers, and regulatory frameworks for eligible and vulnerable customers.
Representatives noted that the intense information sharing during the activity proved fruitful in several areas and provided the groundwork for a future exchange on tariffs and rate formation.
