Through support from the United States Agency for International Development, officials from the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission exchanged relevant experiences with officials at the Albanian Electricity Regulator Authority (ERE) on monitoring of national electricity markets, customer issues in quality of supply, the role of the regulator in the integrated electricity market, relations among transmission operators, regulatory treatment of renewable energy sources, and regulatory capacity building and training.
Representatives noted that the intense information sharing during the activity proved fruitful in several areas and provided the groundwork for a future exchange on quality of supply issues.
