Through support from the United States Agency for International Development, officials from the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities and the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio met with their counterparts at the Albanian Electricity Regulator Authority (ERE) during its study tour on natural gas regulatory development.
The study tour was extremely opportune in that it equipped the Albanian regulators with understanding of fundamental principles, regulatory tools and best practices at a time when the Chairman of ERE has remarked that Albania is grappling with the understanding of some of the basic issues, processes and dynamics of natural gas.
