Technical Workshop on From Policy to Practice: Integrating Renewable Energy

Location: Accra, Ghana

With support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), NARUC, the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) Regional Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERERA), the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ghana (PURC) and the Energy Commission of Ghana, jointly hosted a technical workshop on clean energy regulation and policy.

Following the workshop in Cape Verde in May 2013, this workshop continued the preparation of a set of principles to regulate clean energy and provided continued training on the regulatory treatment of clean energy in the ECOWAS context. A drafted set of principles was discussed during the workshop and all inputs by participants fed into the finalized principle document - the “Principles of Regulating Clean Energy in the ECOWAS Region.”
