Peer Review on Renewable Energy Regulation

Date: October 2013
Location: Banjul, The Gambia

During this peer review, sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), NARUC members met with the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority of The Gambia (PURA) to review and provide recommendations on recent renewable energy projects, as well as various regulatory framework objectives.

As a result of assistance provided, PURA is proving to be a leading regulatory commission in the West African region as it has made a series of proven commitments to promote clean energy, including aiding in the preparation of a draft Renewable Energy Law.
