Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) Training Course on Price Regulation & Tariffs

Date: May 11-15, 2015
Location: Budapest, Hungary

With the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), two staff of the Ethiopia Energy Authority (EEA) attended a training course on price regulation and tariffs to gain the foundational technical knowledge of tariff setting. The themes of the training included price regulation in the energy sector, setting the revenue requirement, price regulatory tasks under a liberalized market environment, and price regulatory tasks related to public service obligations. This will allow the EAA to continue work on the Tariff Guidelines and Methodology for the Electricity Sector in Ethiopia: Generation, Transmission and Distribution.
