WASHINGTON (September 8, 2023) — The following statement was issued by National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners Executive Director Greg White on the passing of New Jersey BPU President Joe Fiordaliso:
We were all shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of our longtime member, New Jersey Board of Public Utilities President Joe Fiordaliso. Joe’s decades-long tenure was marked by his enthusiastic dedication to serving the public interest, as evidenced by his participation in national dialogues and a forthright approach to matters affecting his state. Joe was especially passionate about his service to the people of New Jersey.
He was considered a star among regulators and one who would not shrink from a spirited debate; yet remained a gentleman and a friend to everyone.
His commitment will always be appreciated; his friendship will always remain; and his legacy is exemplary. Our sincerest thoughts and prayers are with his family.
