NARUC Statement on the Passing of FERC Commissioner Kevin McIntyre

WASHINGTON—The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners has issued the following statement upon learning of the passing of Commissioner Kevin McIntyre of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission:

On behalf of NARUC and its members, we would like to extend our sympathies and condolences to Commissioner Kevin McIntyre’s family. Kevin was, first and foremost, a pleasant and collegial individual. No matter his stance on an issue, he conveyed his positions and those of FERC with the utmost professionalism.

NARUC is also grateful for his willingness to engage with state regulators, as he understood the value of stakeholder participation.

We will miss his friendship, good humor, intellect, and dedication to the profession of effective utility regulation.
