FRI Public Utility Symposium -- Let's Get Critical! Let Me Hear Your System Plan: Utility Planning, Project Development, and Security in the 21st Century

Description: This year’s program focuses on issues related to planning, siting, developing, and securing critical infrastructure in the electricity, natural gas, and water industries. This program is built around three panels, one on each of the three topics listed in the program title, comprised of regulators, consumer advocates, and industry experts; and one panel of top industry executives. The program includes panels on:

  • Panel I – Take a Chance on Me: Interconnection, Coordination, and Interdependencies in Transmission Planning
  • Panel II – Don’t Stop Believing: Siting and Location of New Infrastructure
  • Panel III – Utilities are a Battlefield: Critical Infrastructure, Physical Security, and Employee Safety
  • Panel IV – Takin’ Care of Business: Perspectives from the C-Suite

The program format allows for a Q&A interaction with attendees and moderated discussion among panel members. All speakers will be in-person in Columbia, Missouri on the University of Missouri campus. Registrants will be able to join either in-person or virtually. Registration begins in June.
