Public Utility Commissions are dealing with a plethora of issues ranging from climate change to rapidly increasing energy demand to rising energy costs. While these issues may be addressed in a number of ways, one critical component in resolving these matters is the incorporation of solar energy and its supporting technologies into regulatory practices as well as the marketplace. This project aims to help two key types of state agencies – state utility commissions and state energy offices - that can encourage the greater deployment and penetration of these technologies into the marketplace by helping them overcome regulatory and market barriers and harness emerging opportunities.
