NARUC Applauds Rogers, Ruppersberger as CISPA Passes House

WASHINGTON—The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners issued the following statement after the House of Representatives passed the Cyber Information Sharing and Protection Act:

“While we are still reviewing the legislation, we applaud Chairman Rogers, Ranking Member Ruppersberger, and the House for passing this bill. Shoring up our nation’s utility infrastructure against cyber attacks can only be accomplished through a concerted public and private partnership. This bill is a strong step in the right direction. We look forward to working with Chairman Rogers and his colleagues as this legislation moves forward.”
--NARUC President Philip Jones of Washington
