States Laud Senate Approvals of Clark, Norris to FERC

WASHINGTON-The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners issued the following statement after the Senate approved the nominations of former NARUC President Tony Clark of North Dakota and John Norris to the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission:

"On behalf of our nation's State utility regulators, we applaud the Senate for affirming these nominations today. Immediate Past President Clark and Commissioner Norris are dedicated public servants, and I am grateful that both will be serving on the commission. Through his experience as NARUC president, Tony understands the issues and challenges facing our nation's energy policy. He is a gifted consensus builder and an all-star addition at FERC. I am also pleased that he will be joining Commissioner Norris, who has been a good friend of NARUC's since coming to the agency. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is a stronger agency today."
