Media Advisory: FCC, NARUC, NASUCA Host Hill Briefing on Lifeline Programs

WASHINGTON—Federal and State agencies and consumer groups will host a congressional briefing for members of Congress, their staff, the press, and the general public on Monday, Sept. 13, to promote awareness of two telephone assistance programs.

The Federal Communications Commission, the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners, and the National Association of State Utility Consumer Advocates will hold the event in recognition of the second annual National Telephone Discount Lifeline Awareness Week. Lifeline Awareness Week seeks to increase participation in the Lifeline and Link-Up programs.

Lunch will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis.
