NARUC Applauds Senate Confirmations of FERC's Moeller, LaFleur
WASHINGTON—National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners President David Coen of Vermont issued the following statement after the Senate approved the nominations of Commissioners Philip Moeller and Cheryl LaFleur to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission:
“I want to applaud the Senate for approving Commissioner Moeller’s and Commissioner LaFleur’s nominations. Commissioner Moeller is a familiar face to NARUC members. Since joining the Commission, he has reached out to State regulators and always welcomed our point of view. We also look forward to meeting our new colleague Commissioner LaFleur, who brings strong credentials and a unique perspective to the job. A solid federal-State partnership is essential to protecting consumers, and we pledge to work closely with our federal counterparts to achieve that goal.”
